A Mean Trick

On our way to the grocery store Saturday, Caeden and I saw some shitzus for sale. Of course we had to stop to see them. We both fell in love with them and asked the price. $750 bucks, no way would I pay that for a puppy and there is no way Andrew would let us have a puppy. We called him anyway to tell him what we saw and how cute the puppy was. He was very adamant about not having a dog. We gave up and went to do our shopping where we ran into our neighbor who had their new puppy, a shitzu (only $280), in their cart. They had just bought him and now were there getting everything he needed. Well, we came up with a plan. After shopping I called the neighbor who brought the puppy over. I sent Caeden in first with the puppy in his arms and a huge grin on his face, I followed behind. Once Andrew saw the puppy he asked calmly, but not happily what the dog was doing here and why would I bring him home. I could tell he was trying not to blow, so I had to break down and let the neighbors in to confess it was theirs. I laughed all night about it, he didn't think it was to funny. I am still laughing!!

Updates

Okay, so I realized that it has been over a month since I have last posted. With school starting, work, starting up our new little business, and life, we have been busy. So here are a few updates.

RompAround Inflatables, LLC

I think that we are crazy, but we bought a little business. We have 1 20' slide, 2 bounce houses, 1 boxing ring, 1 jousting house, 1 dunk tank, and a cotton candy machine. We already have two official bookings for next Saturday and one for the week after!! I am in charge of all the paper work and day to day stuff, Andrew gets to deliver, set up, and take down. Andrew looks cool inh his Alero with the trailer in tow (ya work with what you have!). We don't expect to do much business until the spring, but it will be good practice to do a few in the fall/winter. We have been busy setting the business up and getting the inventory to fit into our tiny garage, we have also been playing with it a little. Andrew invited himself to a BBQ at his sister Sandie's house to show the family what we are doing, and to practice setting up the slide. It was a lot of fun and found out how much the slide could handle, five adults and a whole bunch of kids.

Grabbers

I guess since I am updating on the boys I better give a little update on Gabby. She is super cute, but what a stinker. She loves to tease the boys, she especially knows how to push Zach's buttons. The other day she was standing on the table (I can't keep her down) just staring at Zach. He was screaming that she was bugging him. He absolutely loves her though, we were leaving Grandma Button's house one night and Zach started crying, saying we left Gabby. We tried to tell him that she was in her seat, but he said he couldn't see her hair. Her whispy hair usually stands tall over the seat, but this night it was actually laying flat. We had to turn on the light to prove she was in the car. I live for the time I get to put her down for a nap, she is SO busy, she loves to climb, open, tear, throw, eat, ride, love, . . . whatever she can get her grabby hands on. I just smile at her sweet voice when she says "night, night" and I put her to bed. I love you Gabbers.

A Two Wheeler

For a long time we have been trying to get Caeden to let us take the training wheels off of his bike. We finally did it. It didn't take very long before he was doing it himself. Andrew was so proud that he had taught his first child how to ride a bike. I guess it is a major life milestone when you are six years old. Good job buddy, you are getting way to big!!

T-Ball

At Marv Jensen 3 year olds can play T-Ball, so I thought it would be fun to sign both boys up. The season is only 4 weeks long with two games a week, shouldn't be to bad! Well, I am not the brightest, so I signed up to coach Caeden's team and Andrew ended up coaching Zach's team. No more T-Ball (remind me next season when I go to sign them up again)! It is a little crazy coaching, but we are having fun. The first week my parents came to be crowd (Gabby) control and to help me figure out what I was doing, thanks Dad!

Caeden's team is the White Sox and when I tell the kids "come on White Sox", half the teams tells me that they wore their white socks today, it was really confusing when we played the Red Sox's team. Caeden can really hit the ball, and when he is not hoola hooping in the out field he can go after the ball pretty good. Zach's team is the Yankies or the "Ankies", how he says it. Zach is the littlest on the team, it is funny to see his little legs running as fast as he can. He has to takes several breaks an inning to get a drink, check on Gabby, take a bite of his cheeseburger, pick dandylions, run in circles, etc. etc. etc. . .
